Hull - Weather - flooding.

Maybe his hypothermia caused him to be unable to breathe in the air supply that was provided, and he sadly drowned as a result.

Sooo we don't want to build on green belt areas, we NEED green/planted/tree'd areas for drainage, we don't want to build on flood plains.... Is it time to admit that England's "full"?

GF just rang me saying it was chucking it down  lol

I for one is hoping it rains, and it is heading south. Somerfield in the town centre is burning down to the ground, and its taking other shops with it. There are already 4 differnent fire stations involved and its still raging on :(

Re The Doncaster situation:

Mum and Dad and daughter are there. Mum and Dad are about a mile away from the place where the bloke has gone missing (Adwick) and say it's getting worse.

Daughter is in the place where the army has been called in.

My old house (in Arksey) I believe now has 5 foot of water running through it.

Kinda hit home a bit now :(

What caused all this flooding so quickly?

Heavy rain, unfortunate location and **** drainage. Ever since we moved to our current house in Sheffield the cellar floods at the drop of a hat since the drains can't cope round here, luckily we've never had more serious problems.
