Humble Choice

Well what a total anticlimax. I ended up pausing and not selecting any for that first month. I bet Shadow of the Tomb Raider will end up near £10 over the Christmas sale period.

It's only the Standard Edition too. Which can be confusing because when you redeem the key, it says you own Definitive Edition, but only because the standard game isn't sold on it's own anymore.

Went to pause and they offered me $2 off. So I've gone for it. Can't grumble for £7.60. I really like the look of Ancestors Legacy, Phantom Doctrine, and Dead in Vinland.

Not terribly impressed with what was on offer with Humble Choice to be honest. I took advantage of a massive discount they previously offered for a year subscription, so my monthly was due to renew in the New Year anyway. Rather craftily, if I want to change to a monthly subscription, that requires cancelling the current 12 month subscription and by doing so I lose Humble Choice. Crafty buggers!

@TangoEchoAlpha I rather hastily went for the annual subscription too and, given the choice again, probably would've stuck to monthly (and paused this one).

I presume I can never drop back down to the monthly old price now, correct (even if it wait until my annual sub is due to renew)?

@bobboberts - that's how I read their FAQ. To make any changes to your subscription frequency without cancelling your current one, and losing the Choice benefits for existing monthly subscribers.

If you find different, please let me know :)

As mentioned in the Humble Choice - Classic Plan FAQ, there is actually an option for you that has multi-month plans.

If you are on a month-to-month Classic plan and are wanting to switch to a multi-month Classic plan (or vice versa), you will need to contact a Humble Support Ninja for assistance. Please provide us with the most recent Humble Choice transaction ID and what plan you want to be switched over to when creating your ticket.

Link to the section within FAQ with the above statement.

So you would have to get in contact with them and that way be able to switch your plans and still keep the Classic Plan. Although have no clue as to how Humble's Support are so can't say if it gonna be easy or difficult to change your Classic Plans subscriptions.

For those that have a Humble Bundle subscription, this is the games for January. Not looked up all 12 yet, but I both Two Point Hospital and Graveyard Keeper is games I been looking at in the past. And Dirt Rally might be fun as well. Have to go and check the others. :p

I may well be a minority, but not that impressed with the options this month. My subscription was up this month and I'm not renewing it - in fact, beginning to think that I am just off picking up something I fancy when it's on sale through Fanatical or similar. Might also give Origin Access a whirl sometime.
