Hungarian Grand Prix 2010, Hungaroring Circuit - Race 12/19

Acid, there is a VERY high probability that RBR are still operating a No.1/No.2 system.

The problem is that the cat was let out of the bag, due to different incidents this season and a big deal was made about the No.1/No.2 system. Had the cat not been let out, it would be no big deal...RBR would be continuing to supply Vettel with the best parts and he woud've gone on his merry way.

The difference is that now, RBR will do their best to be more discreet as the public have reacted badly to their No.1/No.2 system.

Obviously, if Webber can open up a points gap on Vettel, RBR will have no choice but to support Webber as their lead driver, but until then I can't believe that Vettel is no longer their No.1.

1.

I agree, but the cat has been let out the bag, with Christian horner saying who ever is leading the championship they will get the support. They probably don't like it but that is Webber.. If there are ever situations again like the wing. They have no choice but to give it to the leader.

Or face more backlash and bad press.

It will definitely be interesting to see how RBR deal with the new points leader.
Sometimes I think that Horner has said so many things, it would be best for him to opt for a media blackout...just like 'Nuts'.

On the subject of CSl Nuts...what the hell has happened to him? Its like RBR have wiped him off the face of the planet. Either that or they have sent him to work in Alaska, away from all civilisation.

who knows, maybe just doesn't want to be asked questions. Hasn't posted since that race weekend.

Hope he's ok, if it is just questions hopefully he will return at end of season.

Webber is the best bet out of the two drivers this year. Vettel isn't WDC class yet imo.

If he doesnt want to be asked questions, he can just tell us that he has been given a gag order by his employers and cannot speak about the internal politics of the team.

No need to go completely off the radar.

But anyway...I'm sure he has his reasons.

Webber has had no bad "luck".

Vettel has had a car break down on him, while leading.
His car also let him down in the opening GP, demoting him from 1st place (which is where he was running before his car slowed down), to 4th.

If you tot those points up, Vettel would've been leading his team-mate.

Its remarkable that Webber has not had any car failures yet. He had 1 DNF, but that was his own fault.

Over the course of the full season, the luck, usually evens itself out, but at this stage, Vettel's earlier car failures are costing him dear.

Yeah but when you take into account that webber is almost certainly a No2 driver I'd say that evens itself out

with the enforced 2 week break and all factories being shut, can employees still 'work from home' ie scribble away in their own homes at new ideas etc?

Looks like Red Bull will be a man down, Newey just tried to kill himself for the 2nd time this weekend in the Ginetta G50 Cup, the guy is a hopeless driver, always has been.

Was good fun to watch the battle leading upto the accident, nasty crash but alteast it was not on the drivers side of the car. Shame the 3 points he scored yesterday cant be added to the RBR total :D

I find the whole thing absolutely hilarious. Especially the last race when Vettel screwed himself because he tried to help Webber out by backing up the pack. He won't be doing that again!

Webber has been very, very lucky this year but then for previous years he's consistently been one of the unluckiest drivers. When there were reliability problems it was always with his car etc. He's now getting 5 seasons worth of good luck in the only season he has a chance of winning the title.

I hope he does it personally just to screw with Red Bull and Vettel. They can hardly have a World Champion as their #2 driver next year can they? :)

Hamilton/Button would still be better, but I'm not that hopeful at this stage.
