Hungary Grand Prix 2011, Hungaroring Circuit - Race 11/19

Actually looking at them though, none of them were obscene, offensive or anything like that, they just all related to Sky and it was obviously something they were told to avoid.

I would have thought a dry powder extinguisher would have been better on the car as it didn't look like an oil fire. Can't see the video but it seemed like they were using a foam fff extinguisher.

It's all very end of an era from them even right back at the beginning of the show when Jake mentioned it first you'd be forgiven for thinking they were packing up altogether!

Suspect next season the BBC coverage will be proper basic and maybe these guys wont be involved in it.

They will probably just relay the official feed that everybody uses without any pre/post race punditry, just a basic commentary.

Got to feel a bit sorry for Hamilton. It was all going so well until they put on the super softs rather than the softs, after that it all fell apart.

It's not the first time he's outdriven the rest of the grid by a mile only to be let down by bad luck or poor decisions from his team, oh and penalties for not being a Sunday driver. :p

I also got the impression that the BBC team think they are not going to be employed next year.
Id be amazed if they dont have Sky contracts awaiting signatures over the next few days - old Murray Walker confirmed that ITV signed him the following day after it was announced they were going to take over F1 from the BBC. He then spent the rest of the season pretending he was out of a job or was hoping for something/retirement...

Ring a bell?

ps3ud0

Same could be said of many drivers over the years...

He even out-drove himself

poor decision by him as he admitted himself after the race (although hats off to him , he was incredibly professional about it)

He got some decent points still - if thats his worst finish until the end of the season nothing to complain about at all

He is called fernando alonso.

i actually agree :), even as a first and foremost mclaren fan, I have massive respect for ferrari, and alonso individually, i was a big fan of his when he won both his titles, sorta wasnt sure during his time with mclaren, but when you see the way him and hamilton still get on, it reminds me why i am fans of both, and am never unhappy when alonso wins, cant wait for ferrari to give him the car that will match his talent.

So, even though Hamilton probably has the fastest race car (given that the RBRs tend to lose about 0.5s/lap in the race, compared to the rest of the field), you think he won't make the podium?

As soon as Ferrari and RB can fight like the McLaren's did today on the track without any team interference THEN I will have respect for those teams, and not a day before

Well in every circumstance Hamilton was beating him, on all tyres until he made the wrong tyre call. Even after he ran wide he still caught and repassed button.

I'd say hamilton did him a favour.

Not true at all - end of 1st and 2nd stints JB was beating Lewis hand over fist for about 5 - 10 laps
