I don't want a job

Complete rethink of the system, changing it to purely stamp based, getting rid of tax credits and instead using negative taxation (as Dolph advocates).

Complete rethink of what services the state needs to provide, also ensuring that whatever it does provide is done efficiently.

Yes, sounds good. I don't think the conservatives have enough time and that we'll have a labour governemnt soon.

Some people think they deserve more credit in the world. The basics of it is you have to work your way up to earn respect. Once people grasp this concept of been nice to others and stop been complete morons and power trippers then maybe we will understand more about how we can have a real system in place to benifit every single person on earth.

He doesn't want to work? Wow...

Mate... 99.99% of people don't want to work. Deal with it.
Doesn't matter if you work on an assembly line or are a chief executive of a major organisation. Contribute something to society!

EDIT: Yes I realise he cannot see this before anyone says so lol

That guy must be in his late 30's. In Britain a whole new group of young people are falling into unemployment. I can't see that young people today are ever going to work in cake factories.

Ill take a cake factory!

At least i get some cash from the Govt now for working as a Volunteer for over 12 months.
Better then a kick in the face, and the hunt continues! Hard to find hours which fit around Uni though.

I laughed when I heard him say that he didn't want to work, it's unbelievable.
Honestly I think there's little that can be done about this kind of situation because you can't really throw people out on the streets, especially if there are children involved.

But who does want to work?

We arent born to get a 9-5 and work.

We get a job to pay for things that we want to do in life, sadfly we are no longer in a simplistic age where you live and working such as hunting food or something becomes a part of life. Instead we now need £100,000 houses to live in, pay council tax, get a car etc. But all of this is a human construct - we have just been conditioned to believe that the sole purpose of ourlife is to get the best job as possible...

Its not the objective should be to enjoy life. Yes earning money from a great job can allow you to enjoy your holiday time, and save for a pension. But when you are old, having a nice pension must be little solice for wasting your younger years?

I wonder how many people who say that this guy should go out to work would actually want to employ him?

Leave him where he is, IMHO its great value for money (quarantining).

It's not like you're sitting on your arse watching daytime TV all day :p

I would struggle to sit and watch daytime TV all day. Its so bad!

Had a job since i was 16 and wouldn't change it. Love being able to treat myself to goodies on here :P

so he is on job seekers allowence now but dosent want a job ? i bet he is living off his childrens money to as his gf/wife get child support.

I don't get the mentality, working is fun in way, you do something useful someone else is willing to pay for, and you meet lots of new people and learn quite a lot too... Not to mention extra cash to do fun things with...

People like in the OP's audio tape should have their money taken away asap.
