I got me 3D printer, awesome!

If you plan on putting that into use in a vehicle pay attention to the material used to produce it - some filaments won't stand up to automotive use especially if subject to regular temperature stresses and/or will even deform in the heat from strong sun.

Noted, thank you :)

I'll hopefully be able to do that tomorrow evening. The hole is 52mm if that gives some indication of dimensions at least :D I'm quite happy to post a vent over to you if that's any easier also.

I'm happy to do it that way if you want.

Heh, I learnt that lesson the hard way, PETG has held up though

got myself a enders 3 from eBay using today's 15% off code on anything. :)

Are all filament made equality and they all come from China right, so whats the difference?

thanks

After watching various videos on YouTube when I got my Ender3 I decided it wasn't worth the hassle of trying to buy cheaper filament.

The £15-20 saving didn't seem worth it for the trouble it might cause. Went for Rigid.Ink PLA and PrimaSelect PETG when I realised PLA wouldn't work for what I needed (Was all amazon could get to me fast enough)

Woot, there is a 3d printer thread :)

Just got into it, I have got a 2nd hand Cetus printer, only had a quick go with it last night, think it is really good

I usually pay £15-18 for 1Kg of plain filaments to get decent stuff and around £25 for 0.5kg of some of the more exotic stuff like specialist Polycarbonates (bit of a pain to work with when my printer only reaches the barest minimum temperatures to work with them).

Yeah I've taken some models I made for video games, etc. years and years ago with no optimisation for 3D printing and chucked them unedited at the printer and amazed at how well it coped.

I feel like I should be printing everyday but now that I've printed all the upgrades and everything I bought it for that I wanted to print, I've run out of things to print as I'm not really the type to print out the toys and useless stuff I won't ever use just for the sake of printing
