"I hate smokers" thread

You say "All fat people are disgusting and don't deserve their lives."

Thus, any fat person reading that has just been told, by you, that they are disgusting and don't deserve their lives.

Seems pretty personal to me. It's not hard to grasp.

Absolutely, I'm fat but I'm in the gym at least 4 times a week and up until very recently ran half marathons.
Not all fat people are unfit and disgusting.
I'll also wager I eat less food than he does.

Be thankful you have never experienced the smell of one of my mature farts!

I fart in the house too! :o

Its a disgrace. :(

I'm a heavy smoker too, but that has nothing to do with my disgusting habits. ;)

OP, here's another one to start a thread about.. lol
I really don't see the big deal in people moaning about smokers generally :o

I recently quit after 15 years and I have only just noticed how much smokers smell.

Its about as equal as someone with chronic BO when they sit next to you.

Why hate smokers?

I like to believe i'm a very considerate smoker, I always try and step away from groups of people, and if i'm talking to someone i'll always turn my head and try to keep the smoke as far away as possible, whether they smoke or not. No one likes a face full of smoke.

If i'm round someones house and want a smoke, i'll always go off they're property out onto the path, unless they say "You welcome to smoke in the garden."

It's like anything that smells, like eating smelly sandwiches, common courtesy tbh!

Some people have it, some don't :)

Exhibit A, the typical selfish smokers attitude!

It's true. I'd take up smoking again just to blow a little at you (I'm not trolling here). I feel quite strongly about the whiney ****y self righteous sanctimonious better than thou attitude displayed by a lot of people in this thread, and to a lesser (lacking balls) extent, the irl anti-smoking brigade.

I've personally felt the negative health effects of smoking, in a fairly serious sense. So I choose not to smoke. But I still defend the right of a person to smoke, and I can still understand why a person might smoke. In the same way that I can understand why a person might stick a needle in their arm, or eat junk food or drink a little too much on Friday night, or work out too hard or take a risk crossing a road to catch a bus blahblah.
My stance is thus; if I don't want to be around smokers, I move away. If I don't want to smell, or smell of smoke, I move away. It's really that simple.

Catch a grip duders!.

Obese people don't, they sit around getting fatter and requiring more and more help. They are disgusting and therefore a waste of a life.

Then let's hope later on in life you don't have an accident or slowly and painfully lose the ability to walk. Now out of your control, start gaining weight.
You shouldn't think like you do, too many people around the world that generalise and categorise people rather than see they all each may have a story.
Granted not every fat person's reason are as explained above, you wouldn't know unless you knew them.

Because you're an assuming ***.

You do realize that you cant really move away from something like this, every time a cigarette is lit, car started or coal fire ignited, the smoke enters the atmosphere indefinitely until it either gets changed by sunlight (not sure about the time here, probably quite long considering the density of the atmosphere) or clings onto a solid object.

Albeit our air is much better than what was being breathed centuries ago, its still unacceptable, its causing various cancers, defects and so forth in people.

I hold the view that smoking is a crime against humanity, its simply undefendable, true the choice to smoke is very right...but the action is simply despicable.

there are thousands of fatal or serious car crashes every year (iirc 10 deaths a day in the uk alone) do you feel sure you wont be one of them when you drive?

No but I drive carefully, don't use a mobile phone while driving etc

I would equate a smoker to a drunk driver.

This will be my last post, smokers will always defend their habit, no amount of evidence (medical or otherwise) or debate will ever change their mind.

I guess we can all bask in our mutual self righteousness then can't we... We'll just be doing it for longer and stinking less...

No? Pretty much fit the definition of being a troll, or being a complete ****. If you'd do something so ridiculous just to make someone elses life a little more horrible.

Funny that you talk about the anti-smoking brigade lacking "balls", yet here you are, on a forum, behind your keyboard, whining and bleating..like those you admonish. I feel strongly about the whiney self righteous, sanctimonious better than though attitude displayed by a lot of people in this thread, and the "irl" smoking brigade too.

Playing devils advocate here, would you defend someones right to light up in someone elses "space" (given your first comment I'm going to assume yes)? My main gripe isn't people smoking in public, it's smokers that light up near me. Why should I have to move because someone has decided to light up near me? A little common courtesy on both sides isn't too much to ask. Or rather, from the majority of smokers it seems it is. Smokers don't ask people if its ok to smoke before they light up, are you surprised non-smokers get ****ed off?

My stance is thus; if I don't want to be around smokers, I move away. If I don't want to smell, or smell of smoke, I move away. It's really that simple.
Yes, life is always that simple.

I truly worry when every now and then someone comes out with the extreme level of hatred of a fellow human because they either smoke, are fat or have BO. (lol)

Im 34 and just don't have the time to hate on a level so many of you, i must assume, pretend to. You should see someone about it if its actually true or take up a hobby. I like Fishing.

Life is so much nicer when you just get on with it.

Just thought I'd leave that there :D

Excellent source of vitamins A and C, and an excellent source of Potassium.

Indeed - I hear cigarettes are quite nutritious too...

Nicotine: a deadly poison
Arsenic: used in rat poison
Methane: a component of rocket fuel
Ammonia: found in floor cleaner
Cadmium: used in batteries
Carbon Monoxide: part of car exhaust
Formaldehyde: used to preserve body tissue
Butane: lighter fluid
Hydrogen Cyanide: the poison used in gas chambers

All stuff a growing developing body needs, and not only that but smokers selflessly share the goodness with everyone around them. Their generosity is only exceeded by their consideration and vast reasoning powers.

Life is so much nicer when you just get on with it.

Quite - and it's so much nicer when you don't have someone encroaching on your enjoyment...
