i just got dead space 2 but i'm so disappointed

Hey guys thanks for posting the petition... I can't believe PC games are losing remapping that sucks!

Thanks Chuck aka AskACapper
@ theAskACapper i wasn't the one that linked this pc remapping control issue that i'm having, to your petition . i didn't know it was yours tbh.

sorry if u feel it's been took over.
Sorry it was me that originally linked the petition - thought gareth170s request was similar to AskACapper that I found a fair while back and when I saw this thread I remembered the petition and cause.

Seemed sensible idea to do rather than spreading the motion since you are both have similar requests from games developers/publishers and I wouldnt want them not treating the different platforms the same...

EDIT: Next time I wont just post a link :o

Thanks for remembering me ;) I have worked my butt off for the 22,000 sig up to this point lol but glad for the support. I'll hit PAX East hard in 31 days!

And a dam fine job you have done too !. I hope the outcome of PAX East will mean that all games have fully re-mappable controls from now on.

Both yourself and Gareth should be immensely proud of the support you have both been able to get.

I wish you the best of luck and I will raise a glass to the both of you this weekend.

Psst, gareth ask the dead space team to sign a t-shirt, and auction it off on ebay. The funds could go towards some modified equipment or such.

Hey man!
I just sent you an email at
gareth[dot]garratt[at]ntlworld[dot]com

Please email me back your mailing address.
The Dead Space team would like to try to help you out.

Cheers,
Dino Ignacio

This really is fantastic to see. Credit to Dino and the team for wanting to help, it's great to see that the developers are willing. :)

I hope that this enables Gareth to play and enjoy the game and, even more, I hope that it helps to set an example to other companies developing games. This, along with the OcUK campaign that has begun and Chuck's petition and work towards gathering support really could help to change the situation with games across the board and allow better accessibility for gamers with a disability. Whilst it's great to see companies coming up with the intricate solutions involving various controller types, it has been overlooked that something as simple as the ability to configure the controls within a game can be so restrictive for people.

Once again, I'm proud to be part of this community. :)

Ripcord tbh, it wouldn't be needed. If everyone who posted in this thread donated like £2-£5 each, he'd be able to get something made easily from the fund. I'm sure most people would be willing to help him out if it came down to it.

It depends if there's a company which could make exactly what he needed. I hope there will be.

+1

There's more than enough guys on here willing to donate towards a better solution.

I'll hit PAX East hard in 31 days!

Thanks for all your effort + good luck at PAX!
