i just got dead space 2 but i'm so disappointed

Just read the announcement on steam, great job guys and hope you can enjoy the game Gareth, i will certainly be getting the next pc gamer to read this one.

Awesome. Really glad that Chuck will be speaking to PC developers, too. I really hope they take the message on and work towards solving this once and for all so that everyone has the ability to adjust and remap controls in all games. :)

I would have even thought about it b4 reading this story... 4 real but now i see that even PC gamers are in danger. I'm stoked to FINALLY SEE THE PC COMMUNITY getting involved thanks to Gareth. He did the one thing I couldn't do.

I came to this forum last night to get advice about overclocking my system but saw this thread and got distracted as I read through the entire thing...

What an amazing thing to follow, how big this has got.. Gareth you are an inspiration (and distraction!)

Signed the petition..

Maybe i'll get around to posting my PC issues later who knows!
Keeping an eye on this thread and the progress of the campaign!

Cheers!
David

Gareth you will always get shallow people and bullies in life.

You can take great satisifaction that you can rise above it, are a better person and no doubt they are only jealous of your gaming skillz and determination ;)

Don't let idiots get you down, they are merely hitting out because their own life is so lacking.

:)

read some of the comments. 2 of them are silly i feel.

pc's are so much customizable, e.g much different controllers, mouses, head controller, switchs, ect.

of course i wouldn't think i'd be able to use a ipad or something like that.

There's always going to be a few muppets wanting to be heard, some people cant help but take a negative view of everything.

A massive amount of people on this thread, and many other forums reporting this, have only good things to say about you, and how you handle yourself chap. Myself personally, you've made me think about a lot of things in my life & how a little bit of determination & desire can overcome so many obstacles.

Thanks for your story Gareth & I hope some really good things come out of this for you personally, and for everyone else who may be in a similar situation.

Slightly off topic all but just noticed there is 2335 users active.
Is there a world record for the amount of forum users online at one time:eek:
if not then maybe the ocuk community should rise to the challenge of entering the guiness book of world records for most forum members online at same time:eek:

Dead Space 2 PC Players,

The Dead Space 2 team is aware of the issue that disabled players are having with Dead Space 2 PC. In fact a number of folks on our team are so passionate about getting this fix done that they are currently working hard to allow players to re-map key bindings to the mouse which should help disabled players enjoy the game.

I'd like to say I'm very proud of the people on the Dead Space 2 team for coming in today and jumping on the fix first thing. Working with such a talented and compassionate group of people is incredible and makes me proud to be a part of the Dead Space 2 team, Visceral Games, and Electronic Arts.

In addition to the key binding fix the patch will include other fixes for PC players. Thank you for taking up the cause for our disabled players and letting us know about this problem. Once the patch is fully tested we will announce a release date.

From Executive Producer Steve Papoutsis of Visceral
