I'm sure Gareth is well aware that there are people worse off than himself.
He's also reminded me how lucky i am at being able bodied.
It's so very refreshing to see forum members trying to help and advise on disability problems.
Please don't multiplayer BC2 Gareth, i'm getting wasted enough without you joining in ! !

I wonder how many hits it will take for devs/publishers to change it for all games. 39k is amazing but is that a large number to devs/publishers or tiny?

Awesome work, I posted it on the EA forums and also Steam, so hopefully that got the petition a few more hits and will help it get to 40k at least.

i read this thread when it was first posted but due to work have only just had time to see the updates. all i can say is wow things have really progressed and you have got some great freebies :D
 
Another thought just occurred to me as a possible workaround/interim solution for Gareth.

Might it be worth someone contacting Toshiba and explaining the situation and explaining that programs such as autohotkey can't detect the use of the additional buttons located on the top of the mouse, but can detect the side buttons. Maybe it'd be a small change for Toshiba to switch the side buttons and the top buttons within the drivers so that the top buttons would work instead of the side buttons.
I doubt there would be much demand for those drivers so I doubt they'd release them, but if it was a quick and simple change maybe they'd be willing to do a special set and just e-mail them out?

This does of course assume that it's not a hardware reason causing them to not be picked up by autohotkey and similar programs. Also would require some good-naturedness on the part of Toshiba.

Just a thought.

How are you finding your worldwide fame?

I know you didn;t go seeking it and from dealings and postings on this forum I know you make a big thing about been as normal as anybody else and not needing help and assistance. So much so that few people were aware of the nature of your disability.

This is just out of personal interest as myself and my gf have been discussing it.

Well I certainly hadn't and was amazed by watching your videos of playing games better than me by just using your chin!

It must be quite a change though? Having reporters knock at your door and heads of game developers emailing you?

How many emails per day do you noew receive? Hundreds? lol

tbh yes it as been a big chance.. uselly i just play games and post here and chat to my gf...

i receive now 100+ each day.
