I've not heard of that before, a company refusing to quote for cars above group 8..thats like a middle of the road insurance group :confused:

I'm pretty sure that orange grill could look quite different in the flesh though...I wouldn't say its that hideous personally. The car looks like its been looked after though.

They told me that I would loose my deposit and 2 months payments despite the fact I'm still in the first month. I think this would stand at me loosing 290 quid and that months no claims obviously.

Dont you still get the 14day cooling off period? Are you in that?

Hold on a minute, I am from Chesterfield as well, (same as OP) I have seen that car around here and the peak district, cant miss it because of the orange parts stuck on with super glue.

Just had a look at the "link to ebay" you gave, i cant believe that rover actually A) made this and B) made more than one

Such a small world. Makes me laugh, oh well carry on!!!!.......

Hi mate, they made 800 and theres a couple in chesterfield but not that particular one. If you google Rover 200 BRM you will see the ebay example is completely standard.
