What have you changed the voltage to for 4Ghz? Is it still at stock? I realise screenies show different voltages but wondered if they were accurate with this cpu?

I have!!!! mine clocked Gskill Trident to 2875 stable at XMP timings and 2920 if you loosen em a touch.

4.5Ghz please

Voltage is default, only the CPU ratio is adjusted for that pass.

, I read a review saying you may not have to put much voltage in to get 4.5, have you tried with lower voltage at 4.3?

Edit: At idle, how come it hasn't clocked down? Are you running with speedstep disabled?

This looks like a great chip to jump on when it is available at retail... especially considering the desktop I was last using (not counting my current laptop) was an Athlon Single Core machine...

I can get idle temps like that on my Q6600 @ 3.5, 1.44v during winter, when room is probably no better than 10-12c.

As it says above the pics, turbo disabled, this disables speedstep too.

4.5ghz, bclk sorted so its 100mhz exactly and not that silly .9 extra.

Prime95 kept failing early on, or a Bluescreen and restart.

Tweaked the Vcore two notches more 1.320 set in the BIOS, LLC set to high.

Finally got Prime95 to do 20mins (obviously thats still not considered stable but I usually find that a worker stops within 10minutes if there is an issue)

That doesn't look too bad at all. Safe max voltage being around 1.35 presumably?

It hasn't caught fire yet either.
