If its not too much trouble could you check? I'm sure it's all fine.

Do you think it's better for me to do doubles on Friday for squats or go with the single?

edit: Do I decided on the squat catchers height when I'm at the comp or should I get an idea before?

Didn't see your edit! You check the height you want the rack to be at on the day. You need to remember to take into account how much you'll be squashed by the weight, but it's nothing to worry about. I'll check that we're actually in the comp too ;)

Having done lots of soft tissue work on my legs and hips last night, I was hoping to get a decent squatting session in.

Small PWO shake, then out with the bros for huge amounts of chinese food and milkshakes from GBK. Great gains.


Not entirely sure what my openers are going to be, in my head my training has been all over the place.

Squat 200? Maybe, but what about my snap city quad?
Bench 130? Probably a safe bet, but is it too safe?
Deadlift ????? **** knows. 220? Or hope I don't snap my hammy up and go heavier?

What did you lift at this comp last time? Presumably you'll be working up to your openers on Monday too?

Bench 130 140 145f
Deadlift 220 :o:D

This was in the weight class above because of pounding food to recover from the hammy tear. In the 83kg class my best is 190/130/220 from last June I think (on my adductor tear!), so PBs will be comfortable!

Also, this is the most injury free I've been in the run up to a comp since my first one. That is miserable! :D
200/220/240 as your squat figures? :p

Good lord! Why was I looking forward to today?! Clearly I'd forgotten...

So today all lifts are done with ZERO psych up. Literally walk up to the bar calm and get it done. Feels like the weights are absolutely battering me :(

You going with those numbers for your openers? They look great.

Hope the bench comes good at the weekend for you, gotta give LiE a run for his money in his first comp :)

My bench may be tasty but my squat is lagging :(
