Not to your sense humour I grant you. However I would say that it really is about context. If someone starting rolling on the floor laughing at that picture if was used in an RSPCA advert would be quite disturbing. However in the context of this thread where we are supposed to be laughing at pictures of things getting hit I wouldn't consider it out of the ordinary if someone did find it funny. Personally I did find it funny in the context of all the other funny pictures on this thread. Granted I didn't roll about the floor laughing, but I still chuckled over it.

Also the picture isn't very graphic, there is no blood and the seal is still alive. It is not shocking in anyway at all. Certainly I could understand the uproar if the picture was of a dead seal with blood everywhere. However in this picture any graphic part is in the mind of the viewer. I think a few people need to take a chill pill and get down off their soap box.

You're right, we don't need to keep them under control. However, the fact of the matter is that we are at the top of the food chain and the most proficient hunter on the planet and we are able to do it. Hunting is hard wired into our genes. Just as it is with all other predators.

I have never distanced humanity from the animals that surround us. If you think we are not an animal ourselves you are deluded. And as an animal ourself then we are part of nature. If we are part of nature then it is entirely natural for us to hunt seals to get fur from them, it is as natural as the Gazelle getting munched by Lions.

i am not suggesting this and i certianly am against the murder of any living organism because of some bribed/corrupted scientists who think that population control is the "right" way to balance ecosystems the humans destroyed
