Idiot Postman... What should i do?

I had a similar problem, not with a postman but with a delivery man from the Home Delivery Network. I ordered a digital camera online and when delivered, the genious decided it would be fine to drop the parcel over the side gate....A 7 foot tall side gate onto a concrete floor!!!

The same delivery company did exactly the same with a new Dyson my mother had ordered, which was pretty special of them, and must have been hard work, Dysons aren't exactly light so to get one up and over the gate must have taken quite an effort!!!

my god, do people actually think or are they just born as morons?

how do these people get jobs?

Can't help but laugh. Thousands struggle to get jobs yet these people are okay

lol all the internet tough guys coming out with the P45 comments etc, how compassionate, you guys must never make mistakes:rolleyes:

Making mistakes is fine - but you have to take responsibility or be held accountable for your actions. Don't be naive.

I think the delivery man must have been severly lacking in the 'smarts' department. Even more worrying/annoying was when it was reported to the delivery people, they struggled to see what the problem was, on both occassions!!!

I don't see how there is more than one option here

Report him and demand compensation from RM.

No, make an annonymous complaint or fill out a customer satisfaction card, complaining abou the actual person by name is not acceptible imo.

lets say you work in a shop that was understaffed and underpaid, and as a result your colleagues made mistakes as a result of poor inventory or stock issues and a customer complained and singled you out by name, totally unfair as its the business fault.

Indeed, I agree with the guys above, drop him in it.

I spent an hour on the phone today raging at some phone jokey from DPD couriers; a boring and painful experience. But the net result was that they got hold of the GPS data from his route on my delivery day and discovered that he'd made no effort to deliver to my address, rather he signed a return slip himself (using my name) so that he wouldn't have to bother delivering, and gone home. Apparently it's not the first time, and so he's in trouble.

I dare to suggest that this type of crap happens a lot, it's happened to me in the past. I say report him, because who knows, maybe he does this every day. It's really not difficult to deliver a parcel/leave a note and take it back to the depot. There's no excuse.
