I get screwed over enough in one way or another so i like to think it'd put a bit of balance on things. I dont think very many would hand it over to the police at all. I mean, what would you get out of it? Nothing, feel good for a day maybe. Its not as though you're gonna be rewarded in the afterlife for being honest, you might as well go with the very corrupt flow of society. Look after number one!

Seriously, people saying they would keep it, I think is bang out of order. It is up there with stealing. You know it is not yours. You know someone has mis-placed it.

Always turn the tables and put yourself in there shoes.

If the tables were turned I'd have expected the money to be long gone and accepted that, if it was in a plain envelope in the street.

It'd be annoying but thats life.
 
I think ill give it in to the police, as I know how peed id be if it happened to me, id be ranting about thieving and dishonest people!

it was an ATM outside sainsburys btw.


Watch for a bump on the thread in a couple of weeks :P I doubt anyone will bother ringing the police to see if anyones handed it in anyway, i know i wouldnt if i lost it!
 
I'd hand it in to the police. If somebody cared that much they would go to them, in which case they need it badly. If nobody claims it then its mine, if they do then I'm no worse off than I was before.
