Iiyama GB3466WQSU-B1 Curve (1500R) 34” 1440 144Hz VA panel FreeSync Premium Pro

I have emailed them that if they don't provide me any proper info I would like to cancel my preorder. I might just drive to overclockers and just grab lg 34gk950f.

I emailed them asking for a refund. I'm on my way to OcUK. Will grab myself an LG 34gk950f so I can enjoy it in an hours time.

Edit. It is still closed due to covid. Need to order online.
Tomorrow I guess

They replied to my email and told me that their stock levels won't be replenished until 26th.. I guess I will cancel and never buy from them again.

They just told me that more stock is due on 26th of next month but they have stock any day now of original 20 units. Will wait today for an update if none comes i will cancel

I ordered mine off CCL, the expected date to have it in is the 24th with delivery to me of 27th (DPD next day living up to its name there), I emailed support and got:
We have stock arriving close to 24/07 and one of them is yours.
The LG monitor is a league above this with an IPS panel etc why not order that in the first place, it's going to be better.

Well this one was quite cheaper and I have never owned an VA monitor, it said being a king of contrast, but I realized getting ips I won't need to keep my aw2518hf (also Im not sure I will be able with limited desk space), can sell that one to cover the fraction of price difference.

Ah, now I feel regret for cancelling my order so quickly instead of waiting a little bit more.
He more I think about it the less I'm sorry. I am mostly sure that I would have a buyers remorse in a month or two (I tend to give time to my toys until its too late to return). I think fps games is quite big part of my usage and va with its smearing just wouldn't cut it anymore, if I never had a fast screen on the other hand....

Is VA smearing that bad? I play a lot of fps like call of duty etc, not competitive. As this panel is shared across a few models already out there i thought the general mood was that it wasn't too bad? Though I will be upgrading from a korean xstar/qnix dp2710 1440p which is PLS and ancient I think anything will be an upgrade for me.

Yes it will. The problem is I already had a tn 240hz for over a year and I see things I never noticed before whilst using Korean crossover 1440p 60hz ips. Its just how it works, then you get used to quality it's hard to come back on basic things.

Hopefully be here in 2 weeks or so time.

@NikTheSHNIK any updates on this item and our OcUK orders? Will it be end of July or we looking at August? I understand this is not easy to assess!

Wonder if this is related to the bug found in the GB3461WQSU? Which is basically the flat IPS sister to the GB3466WQSU. (Bug was only half the screen would be enabled after a cold boot some times, power cycle fixed the issue).

This needed a firmware update to fix properly, that can't be done by the users, so iiyama recalled all the GB3461WQSU monitors that were in transit and not yet at retailers, so they could fix the issue before sending them out to retailers again. This last update was only a week ago...

Hexus.net quote from a July 16 update : "We are also informed that hundreds of monitors due at retail were held back in Germany for the firmware update to be applied prior to shipping out. This may help explain why stock has been hard to come by this past few weeks, and why customer orders may have been delayed.
Updated stock is now heading to retailers
".

The above taken from a review of the GB3461WQSU, where they found and reported the issue, and iiyama collected the monitor, flashed it, and sent it them back!

Yeah I ordered mine from CCL and the expected date is now the 31st, annoying I have to keep emailing them get updates.

I was on the site earlier today, on the pages for both the GB3461WQSU and GB3466WQSU, and the date was updated to the 31st while I was on there! Sure it was something like the 24th when I first got there :-/

Exactly right :( initially they said they had a delivery close to the 24th and one of those was mine but now won't say anything past 'it might be next week' they don't have an ETA they told me and are assuming the 31st. Probably down to bad communication from Iilyama.
