Iiyama ProLite B2888UHSU-B1 28" 4K 60Hz

One thing that really helps these monitors is reconfiguring your font antialiasing. The 28" 4k panels use a BGR subpixel layout instead of the usual RGB ( take a look here: http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/subpixel.php ) which means font rendering looks odd until you reconfigure it if you've come from a standard RGB monitor :)

good tip. easy to change on Linux (epsecally kde) with one click.

thanks

Wonderfully well Panos. Don't be fooled, you want a large bus like 512bit for 4K gaming. 290X's (providing they don't run out of vram) reign supreme at 4k. :)

You would say that! :)

Should probably be pointed out that you need more than 2 though.
My 2 x 290s struggle at 4K with anything challenging.

Would love to hear feedback regarding what input lag is like with this monitor (when using Vsync). It was what made me return the Dell. I don't think I'm that sensitive, but it was really noticeable.

Project Cars for me is staying below 2GB VRAM for me at max settings (no AA though but not needed) and it runs no slower than 60FPS locked on my GTX680. :D

Mostly though I hit that VRAM wall. :(

I tried BioShock Infinite with VSync and of course Project Cars and while you do expect to get input lag, I have found it to be minimal.

I'm struggling with this monitor.
4K desktop is just too small for me.
Scaling makes it better, but not everything works with scaling which either makes it broken or it just stays really small. an example of broken, for me, is BF4. With 150% scaling set in Windows 7 the mouse no longer lines up with buttons in BF4's menus.

I've tried setting the desktop to 1440p but it's a blurry mess. 1080p is probably a little better, but it's still fuzzy.

How is everyone else coping with 4K?

We've got the same monitor. #InternetHighFive

I've got mine overclocked to 72hz at 4k. :D

I had the same problem GM with BF4 and my Radeon cards. The solution is either use 125% zoom which works fine with everything I've tried. Or use 1440P with 100%-125% zoom.

I didn't find it fuzzy, perhaps try calibrating the monitor a tad? What settings are you using? Am using user settings and RGB of 50, 50 50. Seems ok but boy does TN suck compared to IPS.

The trouble I have with 125% zoom is that I have a 1080p monitor as a second monitor and it zooms that one too, which is not needed.
1440p looks like it's just ever so slightly out of focus. Not surprising really as they do say that flat panels don't look good outside of their native resolution.

Colours and stuff don't seem too bad, but I've not come from an IPS. I do miss 120Hz though. So easy to notice it, even on the windows desktop.

I'm fairly tempted to chalk this one up to experience and buy a ROG Swift. I'm not even that bothered by GSync, but a decent 144Hz 1440p panel sounds nice. It's just the price.

I have 2 of these beauties and I love them, brilliant monitor. Upgraded from a 30" Dell IPS screen but luckily the TN panel in these is superb.

FreeSync 4K IPS is what I'm waiting for.

Then you are doing it wrong, most other people with a new TN and IPS are saying they are pretty close, viewing angles aside
