If you live in a high-risk area, and don't secure your property properly, then you should accept responsibility for enabling them to do it. If you had used common sense and secured your household, it is less likely that it would be burgled. If you secured it to the best of your ability, and it still happened, then your responsibility is removed as you've done what you can/should.

If where you keep your possessions suggests premeditation in terms of attacking people and going beyond what might be considered reasonable defence of your personal safety (and that of your loved ones) then it is probably the business of the police. The chances of it being an issue if you don't have an intruder and don't use said possessions to attack them is minimal but since you asked...
