iMac

The depth is deceptively shallow.

I thought it'd take up my whole desk but I managed to squeeze it on to my chest of drawers with room to spare (24" iMac) :D

Thanks for all the advice guys!

I am definately getting myself an iMac shortly after this, this was also the first year I've even paid any attention to the conference :p

Only thing worrying me though is my current PC has lots of files stored on NTFS drives, will I be able to access these through the mac equivalent of Windows file sharing? Or can it only see FAT formated drives on the current PC I have?

Thanks for all of the advice guys :)

Don't want to start another iMac thread, but what updates could there be to it? Are they likely to bump anytime close to the MacWorld?

I jumped ship and ordered an iMac once they came with Leopard, 24inch with the uprated hdd and a bt keyboard as options. Using the student teacher deal as my dad is a teacher. It's awesome!!! Do it, you won't look back!

I bootcamped XP the other day and it just feels clunky and bloated by comparison!

I've just taken the plunge and managed to get the 24" iMac with wireless keyboard and mouse!

Should arrive shortly and pics will follow :D

Thanks again for all the advice! Will keep you informed :)

im thinking of getting an imac and sell my pc.. where is the best place to get them? (i know you cant link to competitors but ocuk dont sell apple computers right?)

Apple is the best place, they cost the same everywhere.

Unless you want an older model then look on eBay.

Apple refurbs are pretty good too.

Yep, OcUK sell the RAM and HDDs you can upgrade to.

What ever you do don't upgrade with Apple, they are very expensive.
