For single thread it largely depends on the game. They trade blows now. It's usually within 5% of each other though.

In terms of multithread stuff though AMD absolutely destroys Intel now.

Plus I went AMD partly because I just wanted to. I love what they're doing to the industry and wanted to support it.

It’s much better value for money, £500 for 12 cores?

I don’t know what 12 core intel CPU costs but I think it’s at least double that.

I did not look at a sheet of performance charts and sit there comparison 1% margins here and there.

I just wanted Ryzen 3rd gen so I went for it

Yeah, for gaming, it’s not worth it, but for multi core productivity stuff, or gaming whilst streaming, the 3900 is a total beast.

After looking at some of the performance reviews I see why people are moving to AMD rzen3 now.

And don’t forget, next month, we’re gonna have Ryzen 16 core for £750. It gets even better for productivity users.

The only real drawback at the moment is CPU availability. It’s pretty poor for the higher core stuff
