What does the little balls do?
"Boosts" water pressure. We had one in our last place, was surprised how well it worked

@mrk we had one and it seemed good, it didn't last long due to our hard water sadly

Hmm how hard is your water? I'm in a hard water area too so would be interested to know if it's similar to here!
Cheers, just ordered one (without the hose).Got my money back and randomly yesterday saw this on Amazon for under £13 (after applying a 15% discount they currently have on Prime) as needed a shower head holder due to mine breaking.
Don't be dartht!
It's a rear hub for my bike. Old one has eaten its bearings so this is a considerable upgrade.
Something else arrived today, funny story first though. I first bought this exact shower head from Showery.co.uk couple months ago but after waiting 5 weeks and nothing turning up I did some digging and found out they ship from China even though they call themselves British
I sent an email to their official showery UK address for a refund of my £30 and got a Chinese signed email back from someone with a Gmail address

Had a shower with it and have to say it is superb. The rainfall mode is my new favourite thing. A nice mist of water, and using less water now too as the taps don't need to be turned up as much whilst still getting more pressure from the head.
There are 3 types of balls (lololol).
The head nozzles are tiny, this is what increases the pressure, behind the nozzle plate is an insert that directs the water through the plate at a higher rate. You get a spare plat in the box too which you can see in my pic.
Hmm pretty hard here too: https://www.harveywatersofteners.co.uk/water-quality-test/portsmouth/
Thats just the installation cost, isn't it? How much is the unit itself?A Harvey Water Softener is a lovely purchase. Our previous house (and now the new one) was in a hard water area and the softener made a huge difference. We haven't got round to installing the new one yet as it's about £340 to do so. Unfortunately I don't have any plumbing skills and I can't seem to get anyone to do it cheaper.
What is it??

Interesting.About £1,200, although we paid £1,000. If you buy it from them new, you don't pay any installation cost.
Where I live the water is so hard I have to pay it protection money every time I go for a shower.
Interesting.
This seems to suggest the actual cost, direct from them always includes an installation fee and works out around £2K.
