External exposed hinges seems like a flaw, and that handle looks to have a dainty little lock in it, plus exposed gap between the door and the frame possibly giving access to where the lock actually interfaces with the frame? Going to beef it up and add to that shrouded padlock part, or is it more of just a rain cover?

Edit: scratch that, it looks like you could just pry that skinny door open regardless.

You forgot that its elbows are too pointy.

I was going to say get a Watchman but mine is pretty inaccurate. Only needed 780 rather than the 900 I ordered.

Yeah, they are all pretty much inaccurate I've found. Unless the device has been calibrated to the particular shape of the tank, being round with extrusions etc. When it's half empty/full then it's definitely that, but when the level is half of that, the volume is a bit less than a quarter, if that makes any sense!

I therefore rely on the Stick of Truth:

The top mark being 1,800 litres, middle being 900 litres.

I was looking in to installing a flow meter inline with the feed from the tank to the boiler. That way I'll know a lot more accurately how much I've consumed rather than how much is remaining, although that can be obviously worked out by deducting consumption with the last fill. Haven't found anything as yet that's off the shelf, need to bodge something together.

Yes it being far more used as a rain cover to try keep the bike dry

I had no luck with bike covers, Bike Barns and a wooden shed i built from keeping the rust & corrosion away..

Things like my bike barn below the water just runs underneath it and then the floor stays wet & damp for days/weeks (Plus my dogs keeps tearing the covers :()

Will the metal one become cooker-ish when if summer ever arrives here, or is it not really an issue?

That what a lot of people been wondering

I guess time will tell..It does have air vents around the top of it

I built one of these small sealey medal sheds below at my work place about 5 years ago and we had no problems with it

This is the app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ovz.carscanner&hl=en_GB&gl=US

And yeah the free version basically just shows an ad every few launches and has some limitations on how far you can customise stuff like the dashboard and whatnot. Otherwise the main features are all usable. I bought the pro version of the app for just under a fiver as you can use the free money from Google Rewards Surveys, so may as well use them because the funds to have an expiry date

I have no yet tried bimmer-code, one to check out next I guess for coding stuffs.

Edit* Seems if you want bimmercode to work for all models then the vLinker MC Bluetooth dongle is the one to go for, the Veepeak BLE ones support models from 2008 upwards for coding. Diagnostics all models are supported.
@mrk does the pro version do electronic handbrake service release? Currently running the free version with a Carista OBD reader but every time the wife's Tiguan needs rear brakes changing I need to pay for the Carista 1 month sub to enable the feature on the Carista app.

Having dealt with this in my garage, have you considered humidity? It's just as bad as direct water when humidity gets above I think 60%. Danger zone! Having such a small volume though might make all this easier. Ensure no water ingress areas, then stick a 20 quid humidity monitor in there. In winter if it gets high you can seal the vents and put in a dehumidifier. Mine costs maybe a couple of quid a month to run (ok maybe more this winter now electricity is rarer than humility) but keeps the whole garage safe for bike, tools, brewing stuff, bike clothes etc etc. That OSB will soon let you know if there's damp anyway :D.

But anyway, good work, I felt so much happier when I was finally able to keep a bike under cover!

A big fan of a backpack myself. How do you find the Osprey? Do they last well?
I appreciate that wasn't aimed at me but I have several Osprey backpacks. I love them, they are great quality, usually light, stand up to abuse, their warranty used to be great (see next sentence) and are comfortable. They were one of my favourite brands before they were recently bought out (so I'll see how they go now and whether corners are cut, prices go up and warranty is reduced). But they are an outdoor company so most of their bags are quite "outdoor" looking, being aimed at the hiker. So they often aren't the sleekest looking bag in an urban environment.

I can just about build lego, don't think I could build an actual bike!

I will be building this bike as soon i can get my hands on one :D :D :D
