Oh trust me I debated this option, but you don't just get the ring it's now the all important certificate. Plus if I spent the same on a lab grown it would be obtusely large (around 7-8 carats!)
I think lab made diamond does not get that big and if it does the price go expo
Same as Rolex, I don't dare to wear it out in case I get robbed, a big diamond will attract the wrong attention too. Sad world.

I understand rolexes and I own a few, diamonds are fairly new to me and for the relatively tiny size; make little sense, but I know others would say the opposite.

Both are seemingly decent investments, I guess time will tell if natural diamonds prices remain high.

I shall report back if she says yes in due course.

I find it incredible how much people will spend on rings.

They’re not even rare either.
A bit of a culture pressure as well as a grand gesture, for me it was something like 3 months salary. Sometimes the ring is not just for the couple but for the last generation as they would have nothing to talk about........ I don't agree with it but at the same time I like to make thing works out for the better so I bite the bullet.

Round or bust. You would not be putting a ring on this thang

Edit: blue Nile?

Oh noooooooooooooooo, please re-consider? :-P

I don't know why I picked this shape, I saw the ring a few times when chatting to the broker and it stuck, if she doesn't like it, it's not meant to be! But I know she will.

She will right?

What you want is one that's fresh and minty :p

My considerably richer friend bought his considerably rich wife a pear. Think it's quite a good one. GIA certificate helps too :D
