My bargain of the year: 1940s three valve radio, made in England and fully restored by the most recent owner. Teak cabinet with Bakelite knobs.

Akira and Blood the last vampire where some of the first anime's i watched, not really a mega fan of the genre anymore but still.
I do remember having a VHS of an anime when i was very young.. but idk what it was called.

I remember first watching Akira on BBC2 in 94, stuck with anime for a decade or so and likewise not as enthusiastic about it that much these days but couldn't pass up the Akira boxset. Massive box and beautifully presented.

Nice, that would make a fun gift. Which one would you say is better the novel or the graphic novel?

Only just got them, so not had chance to get into them yet.
I'm more into books than graphic novels though (this is my first graphic novel), but grabbed it as would be rude not to ;)
Guess it depends on what the person you're buying it for is into.

Just like when I "accidentally" bought 19 Terry Pratchett books & the Colour of magic DVD today hehe.
