Having spent 12 nights in a respiratory A&E ward earlier in this year on my death bed (I don't have COPD, I was surrounded by people with it, horrible) where of the 8 people I shared with over the period, 2 had COPD not through smoking or working environs but through wood burning it was a general point. My consultant mentioned it was becoming a concern due to the sheer volume of wood burners badly installed and slowly corrupting lungs of people without them knowing. One poor bloke who had never smoked but had COPD after trying to put a fire out in his wood barn, inhaling too much wood smoke an wrecking his lungs, somewhat unlucky.

I am no expert but should you wish to google COPD and Wood Smoke you might see a few hits. I have 2 wood burners by the way, I don't care if you heed it, investigage it or ignore it and laugh. It was not meant to be a warning of insta death, just a comment.

Google eggs and injuries, see how bad the eggs are reported :p

Chicken poos, what do you expect.

I knew nothing about wood and COPD until Jan. It is not some sort of conspiracy but some bloke called a specialist in lung disorders (he had a troop of nurses and a bigger computer and some assistants with him each morning and he was a REALLY well spoken Asian, so a proper clever geezer) told me about it when I told him to sit on my bed! Now I come to think of it he might have been tying to distract me thinking it was a chat up line.

Shouldn't be an issue with a sealed burner though, unless the installer has done a bad job as all the smoke goes up the chimney.

I remember my grandparents had a proper old wood fire in their house, completely open front and as a kid I'd often get told off for putting bits of paper in the flames :o. Smelt amazing but yeah that sort might give people issues.

Sadly loads of things we breathe in everyday are doing damage to your lungs and I'm sure in the future people will look back on us in the same way we look back at the Victorians and think why on earth did you use/do that.

@Maccapacca where did you get the cheap bike shoes?

I bought a bike with clip in pedals but the seller had midget feet so the shoes he offered were too small. I ended up just putting normal pedals on!

Giant store in Shoreham. They just have pallets of old stock they are getting rid of. My mate picked up a similar pair but carbon rrp £299 for £20

I also got a aluminium front light led rechargable, a simple bike computer and four sets of shorts for £27.

Got some small headphones for audiobooks on the bus didn't want to have massive headphones on so this seems like the best solution for now as they are pretty much hidden under my long hair....
My in-ear ones hurt alittle and my ears have started giving me jip for using them (red and inflamed)
Sound quality is decent.

If you pull it backwards, does it zoom forwards? :p

Don't know much about cars but I'm pretty sure McLaren is a super premium manufacturer - looks fun!
