Not sure I follow? All I have tried is a Razor mechanical keyboard about 3 or 4 years ago and it was sent back. I thought they all sound like that?
There are two main characteristics of mechanical key switches: tactile (bump in the downward travel) or linear (smooth travel), and clocks noise or no noise. Then there are different hardnesses of spring. The colour of the switch dictates these characteristics. I'm sure there are whole threads on the pros and cons of each :)

Edit: you probably tried blue switches, with a noisy click and a tactile bump as you push down. Brown switches have a bump but no noise and black/red switches are quiey and linear feeling.

Exactly what I thought!!

Do you game on the keyboard? I'm looking at downsizing mine and I can't stand the noise of mechanical keyboards.

On and off. It's the same as the K750 SOlar I also have. Gaming performance is fine. Can't really tell any difference in latency to the Corsair K70 RGB I replaced it with. So all good on that front.

Right, okay thanks! Any recommendations for a Logitech wireless mechanical keyboard to try then?

May or may not be what you want but I ordered one of these last week.

It's very hard to find a Mechanical keyboard that is both Wireless AND with Mac keys AND with shallow keys.

I have been used to typing on the Mac wireless keyboards for almost 10 years now this seems to be the closest thing I can get on the market right now.

Oooh I do like that, thanks. Is it noisy at all?

A little bit late but bought my first home with my wife at the end of January!

Very happy with it.

We wanted an older build but had been renovated with new kitchen and bathroom as neither of us are DIYers.

I was trying to think of a way I could criticise it, but honestly, it just looks great :p

Congrats :-)
