That's lossless digital audio. Its the impurity of vinyl that makes it sound so good.

Ever so true, the combination of clarity and slight impurity at the same time.

Couldn't agree more, barely ever use the vinyl collection we have as it's a pain to get too.

Should try digging it out and enjoying the warm loveliness again :)

Don't be silly, we all know Betamax > *

On a serious note, vinyl is analogue so in theory it is the original sound, there are no missing information in the "curve".

...is why you sir...are right.

Tech SL1210's all the way. You actually need skill to mix unlike these modern "Press automix button" DJ's claiming to be gods gift.

A lot of DJ's like myself still come from the turntable days, and now use both to get the best of both worlds, just because digital DJ's use controllers,CDJ's laptops etc it does not mean we have no skills, it's a tiresome argument and it gets very boring hearing the same thing over and over again.

Agree, a good mate of mine has his own trance/progressive podcast and often does live sets and there is an art in itself to mixing digital, certainly not an unskilled (easy) thing to do at all.

It was a boring argument when CDJs appeared as well.

I just don't understand this statement what so ever, why do you want an inferior product? If somebody made a CD which had the impurities of a vinyl record would you still buy it? I must admit though owning a record collection does look cool.

Are you suggesting that vinyl sounds inferior compared to CDs?
