New work laptop, will have to get used to windows 8.1 and the touch screen malarkey but the PCIE ssd is very fast and it weighs about 1/4 as much as my current one.

Not necessarily. I've got mugs (that are definitely mugs) that taper in towards the bottom. However mrk's is definitely a cup.

And my point was only that you can't tell for sure just because it's sitting on a saucer.
