eurgh, horrible drives. lost could have how many staff have bought in their failed personal My Passport drives.

USB port is soldered/part of the drive board so no chance of doing the usual hook it up via SATA to get the data off either.

Good to know... I have a 2TB & was thinking of getting another.

My Raijintek Triton arrived today.

What's the toaster like? I'm looking for a decent one... even £80 ones seem to not be up to the job.

I like it when they toast the bread evenly... along with quite quickly on the outside but leaving them soft/fresh in the middle... like the rolling toasters you get in most hotels for breakfast.

Most of the ones I've tried aren't very good at getting it even... and leave the middle of the bread dried out.

I think it might help if you have the hot temperature before putting the bread in, maybe...

It would be a bit silly on the electric bill to get one of those commercial roller toasters for using once in a while.

According to Which, the hotpoint digital toaster (Link) is a best buy and they note it's evenness of toasting and was what I'd have gone with..

The kitchenaid is OK, obviously not worth the money (they do a 2 slice for £130ish which looks slightly better), it does toast quite evenly, although according to Which, not as evenly as the hotpoint!
