Regardless, the manufacturers have done all the research needed to rate the mounting system suitable for up to a certain weight - otherwise they'd be replacing a lot of people's TVs. Why are you questioning it, unless you know better?

I am not saying those bolts don't work at all.

I am concern about the use of them because they don't take into account the condition of the wall, any variables in moisture content in the wall, possible microcracks or fractures on the inside, whether you have hit the joint close to or at between where 2 pieces come together and finally my clumsy DIY skills.

There is also things in the future like possibility of damp walls, or if someone knock it sideways, how much can that take.

It's more than just "oh these can take 50kg so it must be okay." I mean chances are it would be, I'm just not confident in them. Im not even concerned about breaking the tv, I'm more worried about the hole it'll ripped through in the all of it falls off.

Anyway, can we get back to posting pictures of stuff now? I'm bored of this plasterboard talk.

Quick crappy phone snap of new home office chair.

We have those throughout our offices...be warned they have a habit of removing back-pocket buttons

The number of times I've seen people stand up, only for the button to catch in the holes and then fly off in the opposite direction! :p
