Order was sent on the 8th and dpd 5day delay to ky** so I should be expecting the parcel tomorrow or Friday at the latest yes??

Couldn't get through to anyone at dpd and still just says since then.

KY* 09 Dec 2010 expresspak - dpd next day Your parcel has been received at our sortation hub

I've never had a massively high opinion of DPD, so this is their chance to show me they're not OcUK's courier of choice just because they're the cheapest for them.

And this is not the case anyway.

We have used many couriers such as Citylink and DHL, which were cheaper however provided a inferior service.

Now you may try and call me on the fact that they are not delivering to certain areas this week however I may remind you that the weather is under no ones control.

fair point and tbh OC kinda helped me make the best of a bad situation by avoiding a sat delivery that wouldnt have happened. at least now i have a chance i may get my goods by xmas, even if i have to goto the depot

Thats where I'm stuck at for the past two days.

Isn't this irrelevant now?

The most amusing part is there's no snow forecast for Thursday/Friday and the weekend.

So thats their answer to it? just give up and quit...

They're not accepting new deliveries, nothing to do with what they already have. I think it's a very difficult but honest decision from DPD to focus all their efforts on what they have waiting without the distraction of new deliveries arriving into the network.

Well, mine`s still a no show.I`ve had to re book a flight home, should have gone by now.So my stuff will not be making it back with me.I`ve tried to call the local depot but it`s a waste of time. The DPD line is a waste of time too,you go through putting in your consignment number then get put through to someone, but all you get is an engaged tone for a few minutes, then you get cut off. There are many people that are having a go at Retailers, but they can`t help it.I for one just want to say thanks to OCUK for the updates on what DPD are doing.Merry Christmas,i`m on a Plane out of here. It`s snowing like hell here in Sheffield.

My Parcel was delivered at 22:50 last night in Scotland by a very busy courier. It should have been here on Friday so I guess it wasn't a too long delay.

Cheers

I should apologise. My comment was never particularly serious or based on any facts. I think maybe a smilie would have been a good idea!

That said, for a courier to right off an entire country because they were incapable of dealing with load at this time of year because of a few days snow, when pretty much every other courier is delivering perfectly fine, though possibly with a slight delay, does not bode particularly well. I'm aware that different couriers will always provide different levels of service to different areas, but it's reasonably clear that for Scotland at least DPD are just not good enough.

I suppose however my opinion is slightly biased by the fact that CityLink were, and continue to be, absolutely perfect for me whereas DPD have not managed a particularly good service for myself or anyone I know up here. The fact that they still need to class the Highlands as a seperate service and charge more for it kinda says it all.

To be fair the boxes the guys shoving in the van look quite light could have been clothes returns, still if it wasnt then thats a bit dodgy.

Anyway still waiting on my parcel in fife roads been fine since monday so fingers crossed its here today as thats the 5 day delay.

Well, I just got off the phone from another shop that does pet items. They have just switched to City-Link because they found out DPD are not working 24 hours a day to clear this backlog.
