Ince Sacked

Good short-term appointment, he's likely to keep them in the league but that's it. He admitted himself that he took Bolton as far as he could and he needed to move to a 'bigger club', and ended up looking way out of his depth at Newcastle.

Allardyce might keep them up but I feel sorry for the Rovers fans who will have to watch his type of football.

My thoughts exactly right there. I really didn't like the way he had Bolton playing, but he got results and at this moment in time its all that matters.

I don't really see why people dislike him so much. He did a brilliant job at Bolton, mixing the kind of players he could afford with the odd genius (Okocha, Anelka etc). And as for Newcastle, the club was a mess when he took over, and still is tbh.

I think for me, the problem is that I hate negative football and Allardyce often has teams playing the long ball. Now, its a very effective tactic and I remember Bolton getting some massive wins with him in charge, we need someone who can get us out of trouble. I'm just disheartened to see Ince fail as I really wanted him to do well for us.

I and i'm sure many other Rovers fans agree though that right now, we can't afford to be playing good football and losing as we did under Ince. We need someone to tun things round and although it won't be pretty, Allardyce can do it like Sparky did all those seasons ago.

Great news for Blackburn. He was clearly out of his depth and would've got them relegated. You don't improve a top 10 side by selling your best players and buying League One players FFS!

Why not, It worked for Everton. Every decent Everton player has come from the lower leagues or from nowhere. The players that have cost the most money from the premiership have been ****.

Even when our best players have been sold we haven't suffered too much.

Always thought he was Moyles :o

So that's atleast 4 times then. And Tim Howard hasn't done too bad for yous.

Alladyce is lame, Phil Brown, Hull manager, was there before Alladyce and managed to get them to win 4/5 as caretaker manager. Bolton did ok with Phil Brown heavily involved, the second he left bolton got utterly crap and dropped hugely down the table, then Fat Sam went to Newcastle, again without Brown and was completely inept.

THe kinds of players Bolton bought, kind of odd balls, generally cheap and not well known are the kinds of players Phil Brown buys. A lot of people believe he was almost solely responsible for bolton's success and Sam without him has shown nothing at all, no good football, clubs doing awfully, terrible player buying, horrible defence that fell apart to easily. Can't see how any of that is good for Blackburn, I'm not sure he can keep them up at all. A much worse squad overall than last year and Fat Sam buying in the likes of Smith and Barton won't save them at all. He might get lucky and spend a lot of cash on someone big and known to be good but I can't see that working as they need 3/4 players to make a big enough difference.

Sam at Bolton had no money and just bought players out of contract, he can get a lot of out players but I dont know what tactics he will play, Cruz looks like he wants out soon and the defence is pretty poor.

Huh that wasn't the point, the point was it was said you can't sell your players and then buy from the lower leagues and survive. Well Everton have managed just fine doing that. Even after selling rooney we never suffered, in fact we did better.

Don't normally agree with this kind of thing but I do here.

Ince obviously wasn't ready for the big step-up and if they'd kept up with him for the season I think there was serious danger of relegation. Allardyce, as much as I despise him, is actually a decent manager and should sort them out.
