Indian Grand Prix 2013, New Delhi - Race 16/19

It really is depressing what this sport has become, vettel hasnt had to battle for one single position... Everyone just waving him through because they don't want to battle and risk their tyres degrading.

Awful fake racing

This applies to every "your not racing him" overtake, not just Vettel.

Hulkenberg and Bottas under investigation for exceeding the track limits.

Wow... they've actually spotted someone doing something wrong.

Oh... No further action...

i think this is terrible tbh, why even have the white lines?

They arent doing. anything wrong. It was decided in the driver briefing, agreeded by the drivers and the stewards, that going outside the lines was perfectly fine this weekend. It requires a majority vote, but the reports ive seen was that everyone agreed, not just majority.

What do we get in next weeks driver vote - nose mounted machine guns?

Lol at "a great drive through the traffic", his car is two seconds a lap faster than everyone he has overtaken and every overtake was a routine DRS overtake where the other driver didn't bother to defend.

Vettel is a world class driver but the way bbc overhype things is ridiculous.

Shock horror as all drivers agree to change the track shape at will so they can go faster and put less stress through the tyres.

Someone needs their arse kicked for allowing that to be voted on.

As for not doing anything wrong.

20.2 Drivers must use the track at all times. For the avoidance of doubt the white lines defining the track edges are considered to be part of the track but the kerbs are not.
A driver will be judged to have left the track if no part of the car remains in contact with the track.
Should a car leave the track the driver may rejoin, however, this may only be done when it is safe to do so and without gaining any advantage.

Perhaps they should vote on ignoring the pit lane speed limits, that's where they loose the most time now.

Its hardly the big issue you are making out. Is it silly, yeah.
But everyone knows, so they are all doing it. Its not some big secret. It doesnt affect the racing etc.

i was going to say baring any tin foil hat issues but i didnt think it necessary

I'm not being Tin foil hat. Vettel obviously had something at Singapore that Webber didn't. Car was making unusual noises and was rediculously quicker than his team-mate. They're not going to share anything they don't need to with someone who is leaving the organisation.

Sounds like my decision to stay in bed and not bother watching was the right one. Hopefully next year the racing and the championship will maintain a little more interest.
