Indian Grand Prix 2013, New Delhi - Race 16/19

:D

Haha you try so hard every race even with so few biters :p
He's proved himself time and time again. Not my fault so many British fans are too blinkered or up another drivers backside to appreciate him.

Until Alonso gets a better car he's a double world champion in the best car at the time and Hamilton's just a driver that can't take a shopping trolley from the back of the grid and win like so many people believe.

Next year could be interesting. I really hope Ferrari give Alonso and Kimi a proper car, they'd walk it if they did.

Next year could be worse, if one team gets the engine significantly more right than the rest. We could actually see more of a spread through the field than now and more non finishers. I am looking foward to seeing what they do with the engines.

he certainly pummeled MW today

It will be one engine rather than 1 team, so we could see 3 groups of teams.

I'm not sure Ferrari will have the same problem as McLaren had. McLaren had 2 huge egos intent on beating each other. Whilst I get the impression that Kimi doesn't give a damn about being in the same team as someone really good. Will be interesting for sure.

i think it depends on what ferrari produce next year, the drivers certainly have it in them

Of course he's proved himself to be better than his team mate, whether by team interference or not. That's all he's proved and will prove again with the hand picked patsy.

It would be no different if Hill Or a JV had driven a car 0.5 faster for 3 more seasons after their title. Not that it's his fault he has had extremely good fortune to drive those cars. He has done all that can be asked of him.

I've always thought the driver role is over rated in comparison to the engineers for developement and set up, regardless of who it is. :)

But Alonso does, and Alonso is the one I would put money on performing better. If Kimi starts beating him we could see Alonso implode again.

I kinda miss the unreliability. Whilst the technology is amazing it does make it a bit predictable knowing that nobody's going to have an epic engine blowout etc. Ferrari will undoubtedly have the strongest driver line-up but they need to get their act together with that car. Great job from Massa today on that note.

all you can do is compare to your team mate
alonso vs kimi next year will be good to establish a better driver

also think its far far far more the car than the driver
how many other drivers would be in SV position now had they just been with RBR?..a few for sure, especially with a team mate advantage

Fair play to Seb and Reb Bull. Very good drive from him today. Did what he had to which has been the story of the season in my opinion. Yeah, he's got a great car but still has to do the business on the track and now he has for a forth consecutive world championship. Excellent stuff. Fantastic celebrations too at the end, great emotion. Liked that a lot.

Not the most exciting race but some great drives out there today. RG, Nico and Massa imo all did really well. Such a shame about Mark though but pretty unsurprising!

Atmosphere looked fantastic in India and seemed to be a pretty good turnout and so much passion out there. Was nice to see the crowd not booing him, he didn't deserve that. Shame we won't see it next year but I really hope it's back for 2015 and onwards.

I'm not sure how much longer Alonso can carry on with the hunger he showed for a few years prior to this one. He seems to have tailed off this year. I'm not convinced he will even be at ferrari next year.

If he is it will be interesting to see Kimi's role in the team. I cannot see why they would employ him as an equal to get under Alonsos skin when clearly they didn't rate Kimi that highly before.

That would be an interesting prospect, Ben Ainslie leading a GB Americas cup team with Newey designing the boat.

Be something for the country to get behind a bit of a dream team!

Well... Well done to Red Bull and Vettel.

Just need this season to end, hopefully some of the other teams bring something to the table next year.
Interesting enough race, gutted Alonso couldn't edge it into the points.
Good stuff from Perez today.

comparing drivers is pointless unless they are team mates and even then its kinda pointless because people can always argue that the drivers are at different stages of career (webber is 37, well past a drivers natural peak age) or that they get treated unfairly etc

its just utterly pointless in a sport like F1 where machinery is by far the most important factor in how successful you can be.

No one can ever win the argument.
