Indiana Jones and the Great Circle (2024)

I finished it yesterday and I'd give it a solid 8/10. It did have some performance niggles unfortunately. The cutscenes were capped to 60fps with improper frame pacing, at some points during cutscenes the animations would "slow down" so the characters moved really weird, there was insane ghosting in some of the cutscenes and it has some of the worst LOD pop in I've ever experienced. Frame gen is also completely broken on the Gamepass version especially, but I did get it working thanks to a post I found where you had to inject an Nvidia Inspector profile, also turning off low latency mode made a massive difference to the smoothness when using FG.

I'm enjoying this game so far, probably about 6 hours in, it's certainly one of the best looking games I've played. The path tracing is beautiful.
What settings are you playing with, couldn't really get anything satisfying with PT. Playing just with RT 100fps+

Everything on maximum at 1440p. With full RT on. Frame gen is also on and DLSS set to quality. Depending on the area in the game it ranges from 90-120fps. The only bit it didn't like so much was the opening jungle scene at the start of the game, other than that I can't notice any slowdowns.

Cool thanks..yeah might be easier in 1440p. I didn't quite like FG in 4k as only managed to get around 50fps without it.

The Voss fight on the Ark is stupid
up until this point I've enjoyed the game.

Will give it another go tomorrow.

Tried to get into this, but finding it fairly boring to be honest.

I feel like I'm getting very picky with games these days though, so might just be me.

Not a great deal. It seems a little better since the latest nvidia drivers, but still crashed after an hour or so.

Temperatures are fine and no issues in any other games. From reading the threads on reddit and Steam I'm hoping the next patch will help which is due sometime this month.

Its a shame as I'm really enjoying it when it works!
Probably will hold off until this patch before buying myself.

I found that the frame rate limiter will cause big random stutters if frame gen is on. If I leave it on 1000 FPS it's fine.

Just checking this out again but struggling to get above 45fps with everything maxed out on a 4080 and an i7-12700 running at 4k with DLSS balanced. This is in the opening scene walking through the jungle. Does the frame rate improve once you get out of the jungle area ?

Any suggestions of things to turn down ? I know raytracing and pathtracing are probably killing FPS the most but id like to leave them maxed out if possible just so I can actually experience them properly for the first time (no games I play utilise them)

Which 4080?

The jungle segment is quite heavy yes, a 4090 is needed to get a baseline 60fps without frame gen really. you should be using DLSS Performance though either way to get more fps as DLSS 4 dlls using the new preset offers DLSS Quality picture with DLSS Performance. now.

Do i need to download DLL swapper to get DLSS4 or is there a better way ?

It's a Inno3D GeForce RTX 4080 X3 OC NVIDIA 16 GB GDDR6X Btw

I assumed all 4080s were more or less the same in performance
