Indeed! I also had a great time, way before the cheating kicked in! I remember there was about 6 of us looting in boulder and rushing back till 1am :) I would almost say it was as good as DayZ in the fun factor. But then the cheating really took over, 50+ bans a day if not more
 
Still playing maybe 9/10 hours of this a week, haven't seen a cheater since maybe new year now. It's strangely addictive despite it's flaws and the addition of vehicles makes a massive difference.
 
This game was truly fun for a while, until it became a hack fest. I think I still have it installed but not played in a verrry long time. Worth firing it up or not? Last I checked my guys were all in middle of nowhere so I rage quit :(

It's worth a bash, it's my goto game when i'm bored. Hackers are pretty much non-existant and even the hacking site forums say not to bother as you'll get caught pretty quick these days.

Where did you hear that?
There are cheaters out there that have been playing the game for months and months on end,Even when Punkbuster was in the game and they still didn't get caught.
Only the dumb cheaters get caught quick..for example if they go on a server and aimbot 6 people within a min..most of the cheaters play it smart.

Its a real damn shame because at its core,this game is really good...has huge potential its just a shame people cannot play legit...although Hammerpoint/OP productions are to share some of this blame too due to the decisions they make.

New ISS seems promising though,apparently comming out this fall and they are looking into new Anti cheat,Il belive it when i see it though. :o

You havent told 6 anything he didn't know we all played the game from release day of the alpha. Trust me 6 knows if people are cheating or not.


Hammerpoint/OP productions are a joke I will never ever touch anything to do with themor that Sergi theif again.

Sergi just lied about it all like he did everything else. Then just ignores everything else he said in the past and totally goes in another direction. :p

They make EA look like Good guys over at hammerpoint.

Took the words out of my mouth mate.

Yup, I can spot the cheaters a mile off, you can tell by the movement patterns, the way they expose themselves for certain shots, there are tonnes of little nuances that you pick up on that tell you when folks are cheating.

I've no doubt cheaters are still in the game, however they are extremely rare.

My twitter feed is full of bans, it's pretty much every 10mins, so yeh that is a lot of cheaters
 
Finally this game is dead......

Dear Survivors,

This post is an announcement to all of our players that Infestation World and all of its services will cease all services, effective on the 31st of December, 2016. The game will continue to operate until the aforementioned date. Furthermore, all GC payments will be ceased as of December 1st, 2016 and forums will be available until December 15th, 2016.

It has been a wild ride from the very beginning and we are truly sorry for springing this on all our players, the game isn’t just doing well as we expected. However we are truly grateful for all the support since the launch of Infestation World. So thank you all survivors for your support and patronage and we apologize for any inconveniences we may have caused. And thanks again guys for surviving with us this long
