*** Infestation: Survivor Stories ***

What do you guys think about this?

You mentioned that there will be a store or marketplace in the game. Is it micro-transaction based?

As you explore the game world, you'll find two types of currency - Dollars and Gold Coins. Both can be used for barter between players if you want or to purchase certain consumables (food, medicine, ammo) at the General Store in one of the safe settlements and in the Marketplace in the frontend. Not all items that you find in the world will be purchasable, and by no means do you need to use the store at all - everything can be found in the game world.

Mmmm well theyve been open about the fact theyre going to use micro transactions for a while. In all honesty it all depends if the game is any cop. If it is, microtransactions for extra food or ammo would be bearable, especially if they keep the client cheap. They have to eat right?

Some good points! but as he says, people are sheep so will preorder it anyway making these guys very rich indeed.

p.s that gameplay in the background looks horrific!

It's going to be **** compared to DayZ. DayZ is, although bugged, actually based on a proper MilSim engine and has an amazing sense of place.

It really doesn't :p

DayZ is ruined by the fact Rocket ****** up Zombie detection a few updates ago, so bad in fact I won't even play it :) Such a shame, hope he fixes it before the retail release.

Can't link the video from here, contains swearing

"Rhino Crunch" has a bee in his bonnet. I would block him too. I am a grown man, I decide where to spend my money.

If they release a sucky game, other than a few pre-orders, what benefit is there to themselves?

They would be busted after day 1.

I will make up my own mind near launch.

Not everyone likes DayZ (shock horror).

The War Z may well find a fan base who want a game different to DayZ and lets be honest, there is not a great choice out there so based on the War Inc engine or not.

If they end up with a Dead Island/Dayz/L4D hybrid, that is not a bad thing. It just means a different game.

I do not like all games released, but I appreciate others enjoy games I dont.
