Inhuman scum

***** should be hung, drawn and quartered.

I feel for you OP, that really is the lowest of the lows :(

I'll break my rule of never replying to an ocuk thread with "scum" in the title - I'm truly sorry for you, and hope you get it dealt with quickly and with minimal bureaucracy, I'd have been utterly heartbroken.

As others have said, can't imagine why kids would go to lengths of smashing up graves, the parents should be ashamed of themselves for such poor upbringing. Sorry to hear this, I hope it gets dealt with quickly.

genuinely horrific. cannot imagine how it must have made you feel but to have the church stick their dagger in at the time when you must have been expecting something more sympathetic is the icing on the "wtf has humanity come to" cake. :(

Mindless. Some people just don't think about what they are doing and the impact on people's lives.

Truly sorry this happened to you and your family. I hope you can honour your father in the best way possible in this terrible circumstance.

Thats dreadful. I thought that selling\ moving on grave yards would have to be after 100 years so the chances of a close living relative was slim.

Thank you all for your kind thoughts. I'll keep you updated as to how I get on. Hopefully it won't be too much of a fight to get the ashes back and common sense will prevail. Although my previous dealings with the local authority don't fill me with hope.

Holy ****, I'm so sorry that that happened to you, that must be hell to go through, I wish you the best of luck in getting his ashes back, if I were you I'd keep the, with you, spreading ashes is another expensive process, I looked into it and as they're already buried you have to go through all kinds of procedures and forms, I'm assuming that your fathers are still classed as that.

Anyway, best of luck.

Scum is the fitting word in this instance. Sadly I consider myself pretty much unshockable now at the atrocities some human beings are capable of. So sorry for yourself and your family.

To be fair to the church there are probably old and arcane laws that they have to abide by.

Utterly disgusting. That picture is incredibly distressing to see, and I'm sorry you had to face that, especially as it's your own father.

I have no words, other that I wish you the best of luck.

What goes through the mind of someone before deciding to do this? On what level do they think this is acceptable? Lowest of the low.

I can understand how you must feel OP. I was seething inside reading it earlier.

Absolutely horrific. If you hadn't posted a picture it would have been almost unbelievable that someone would do this.

That said, the response from the church is pathetic. Considering they already have the urn in their possession they're just making the whole process even more distressing. I'd be livid if they tried to leverage more costs on an already crap situation.

I'll bet on a couple of druggies looking for metal to sell, hoping for a quick buck to purchase more drugs

Really feel for you. Disgusting behaviour and I am saddened to hear of it.

Although, what makes me even more sad is that whilst the behaviour is disgusting, it does not surprise me.

Probably smack heads, or 'bored' teenagers, or ******.

Good luck with getting everything sorted, I hope the Church will understand the extreme circumstances and expedite proceedings accordingly.
