I always cap mine when downloading,was maxing out at 1.7mb/s from the insurgency torrent when my upload was capped at 20kb/s.

Once its downloaded then i remove the cap.

quick question, do you have only the Source SDK installed, if so, how did you get it w/o installing any games? Friend has no source games... and the SDK stuff doesnt show up for him

both torrents are incredibly slow here left both going for 30 mins now
none have gone above 20k sec and im 8 meg looks like the good uploaders are gone ah well ill wait til its on some better servers

I have CSS and DODS installed, and both the source and base SDK installed, but I still think you need HL2, to run it, it loads the map then nothing happens

I like new games because it at least gives you an equal footing to get good at them with everybody else! Then in a few years time you can brag about how you played the beta's

Few people are getting this by the looks of it. I don't know a fix as of yet, sorry

Edit

On IRC, some bloke said "I fixed it by disabling some graphics and disabling sound". I asked him what he meant by disabling some graphics but he didn't reply. Something to look into I guess
