insurgency mod

Gotta say i'm really enjoying this so far. The game is very unforgiving which makes a nice change from most multiplayer games out there. People who don't bother to find out what they should be doing tend to get there backsides handed to them which i'm all for. :D

There's some seriously lulz camping spots in some of these maps, my favorite would have to be this one:

Basically you're hidden in the shadows, no one can go through the doorway without sprinting and even then they'll probably get hit, to the left the Insurgents spawn and to the right the Marines so there's little chance of someone sneaking up on you.

Nah dead easy to flank, done it many a time. Gren through the arches and all is well :)

That Bagdad map causes a lot of server crashes:

It has also been flouted that if u turn the music of in the options that this stops crashing client side!

Still haven't been able to connect to a server, it gets so far.. sends my info.. I can see some server chat to the bottom left.. still never connects

POS!

I was having trouble connecting yesterday, would get so far and hang, I think it may be server side though, all the UK servers I went on last night were fine, loaded straight in.

Starting the really like it to, now I have the game play sorted :D

Biohazard, tried clicking the redish coloured circle in the bottom right of the screen when the loading bar has finished?

If your team is doing it's job they'll be under fire, and if you see someone running past you pretty much know it's a good time to move.

You wont see anyone running past from that position. If the US team is covering down that flank then no-one would be getting to that passage for you to shoot anyway, if they have pushed up far enough to stop me getting to where I need to be, then you wouldn't be seeing any action anyway and I'd have other problems to deal with! :D

Once client info has been sent you'll see that the bottom right arrow now becomes active, just click on it to enter the server. Quite a few have been caught out with this!

No, there are serious connectivity issues with this 'mod'.

A lot of the clients are crashing just before/after sending client data.

although a patch will be with us soon, god knows why they didn't hold it back.

When you say soon, is there a date floating about?

I've played it again for about 2 hours today and I'm really liking it, long range shots seem to go nowhere near the target, Im still not sure what gun Im buying when I first spawn, some sort of buy screen would be handy, but the game play and the feel is great I think!

i've had a few issues with being disconnected from random servers once in a while but i've never had an issue connecting first. Gotta say this is a very promising beta, I just hope they don't make it easier for the masses.

I tried the mod last night, the connection dropped a few times and I got a couple of CTDs, but overall it was fun to while away a few hours on it.

Very good first release I think :)

Scort.

Excellent, I'm really loving this mod - I've teamed up with a few guys from the US and we play together as a unit. Played for 2 hours earlier and we didn't lose a single round :)

Finding this is getting a little bit boring, or atleast Almaden or the way it's being played in general. It's basically sit and wait for someone to walk round a corner then shoot them in the face, the game seems to do a poor job of trying to make people complete objectives, or people just don't care. There is little reason to aim at someone 'properly' as it's pretty much one hit kill regardless or where you hit them.

I don't care if it's 'realistic' but dying and having no idea what happened to you is just frustrating and you can't really learn the maps, ie where people tend to fire from as you just fall over and then wait for a respawn. There's also far too much junk around the levels, and especially in buildings making it hard to move around without something blocking you.

I think you've hit the nail on the head there. Well if it's anything like the Project Reality.
If you find a good squad. who work and communicate together then you are successful and it's very satisfying to play

Can people post there ingame names?
