insurgency mod

I was on some random server last night - once you get the basics its a good game (aside from the sluggishness, non-accidental TKers and snipers trying to nick your position and blocking you from actually moving when they do)

You definatly need teamwork!

I play as my username here.

Had a very good game last night on a random server with some Canadians, you do need to work in a team to prevent the others from getting in and around your re-inforcement spawn. Its hard without teamspeak too.

I think this game has great potential, although I feel they have made the movement a little too slow. Love the dizzyness though! :D

Anyone else feel the weapons are a little too accurate, even at range? Was messing around on the test range and with the M4 and the AK47 against the small enemy targets I was able to hit the target with a good 90% accuracy, and all of those would have been kill shots. Was firing one shot after the other with a slight pause to move the sights down a little. I'm no expert, but in terms of gameplay it seems a little over the top.

They are, I also think in order to get the uber realism effect the hitboxes area a little generous as well. I've got no problem with it though, an aimed rifle is accurate! What I'd perhaps like to see is more of a wobble when aiming with iron sights, perhaps with a button to control your breathing for a split second to steady which can only be used so frequently, maybe.

I see what you're saying there but you'd be surprised how accurate some rifles can be in real life, especially in single shot. Maybe not an AK though

whats with servers that let you view the opposite team in spec

they make baby jesus cry

whats the point finding a great sniping spot when as soon as you shoot someone you have to move on :(

agreed opn the hitboxes too , its far to easy to shoot somoene who for example is running to cover , dont even need to shoot anywhere near them

I've thought of that, and actually went to look to see if there was that function. I've been struggling slightly with long sniper shots, there seems to be no ryhme or reason the way the crosshair moves about. I like the fact it does that, but I'd also like to hold my breath and let it go when I take the shot...

How's everyone finding the fog? Is there still a problem with Nvidia with this? It's easy in this game to die without knowing where it came from, but there have been a couple of times where I have been concealed with no chance of flanking fire and I have been taken out and I couldn't see anyone in front of me. Also I picked up the sniper rifle the other day and I couldn't see as far when scoped as with the normal rifle with iron sights!

You can deploy the bipod, which completely steadies your aim. I wouldn't really advise it though, it's a little buggy.

The shaking as sniper doesn't seem too bad to me, however I don't think it shakes anywhere near enough when you're standing. You can also walk and use the scope just as well!

Instead of having a hold your breath function, there should be more of a pause on the rise and fall of your breath.

I know I can shot well long distance but the game has me waving all over, even crouched or prone its still the same :(

More I play the more I like + patches coming out should make things better :D

Just messed around with the support gun again on an empty server, and basically with the bipod up aslong as the target is visible at all, basically aslong as it isn't in the fog, you can hit it. You can pretty much hold the fire button down and the bullets will pretty much end up in the spot you're aiming, the thing is also amazing at close range. By far the best gun in the game.

They need to sort out these really dark areas in the maps. There's some areas you can't see an enemy if you literally stand infront of them. If someone snipes there, it's just lame. Not so bad when there is only one likely place for them to be but when you've got 5 or so in one small area, it gets frustrating.
