Probably need a better cooler as well if reports of 90c plus on a 240mm rad are true.
that review above shows stock 10900k doing mid 80s on a ekwb 360mm. Unfortunately owners shall find this cpu has little to no overclocking headroom without advanced cooling. Ocuk store is selling pre overclocked a 10900k bundle and it comes with a water block instead of a cpu cooler, obviously they've already tested and binned these parts they're saying you need a custom loop if you overclocked the 10900k
Insane temps to say the least, it may be a bit faster overall but it's just a panic move by Intel caught with their kecks around their ankles.

The 9900ks was listed in the lockdown "deals" thread for a grand a few weeks back. Not bad it appreciated over half a grand by magic.

350/19/30 custom Pirelli tyres ain't cheap you know. Gibbo needs to sell a 200 units of the 10900k to buy a set for his LaFerrari
3-4 times over other shops. This is beyond ridiculous. Same with the 30% price increase on the 3300X and B450 Tomahawk Max.
Look there is image issue with the 10000 series, let alone that we know all existing Z490 stock has faulty ethernet. These need to shift fast before people realise the issues, let alone that Z590 and 11 series is our in just few months. Also anyone buying 10th series needs more likely a new cooler so time to sell few of these.
We saw this with the 6700K & 7700K transition.

Intel baiting people into buying 10th gen most likely, when the review's hit a lot of disappointed customers, i thought reviews were live from the 20th, but don't know the time exactly
Yeah, it seems very unusual that stores have stock of a product on sale you can walk into a shop (if any were open!) and buy right now before the press have been allowed to publish anything?
