Intel D975XBX

lol dont mean to sound dumb....but is this board the bad axe that everyones talking about...the one oc is on preorder even though it doesnt say supports conroe on the website?

been confirmed by a few in here that it does support and run conroe's :)

The asus has pulled me though, the feature packed kit appeals to me more :( Always one for the underdogs aswell, seen as I was told to get a DFI over this a8nsli-d because it clocks better, and can clock mighty fine atm! Heatsinks on the bad axe look pretty though...

You can run SLi with this motherboard as well using hacked drivers from XS.

If only it had 2 IDE ports instead...:(

Is there a sort of "y cable" available for IDE ports?

Audio capabilities

Sweet so this thing fully supports streaming DD over a digital feed to suround amps? The reason I ask is that I have a HDA Digital X-Mystique 7.1 in DDLive mode 24/7 connected to my suround amp. These new boards have so little PCI expansion capabilities that I'd struggle to fit everything with PCI Wan, PCI audio & SLI cards.

One parallel ATA IDE interface with UDMA 33, ATA-66/100 support

Yes thats a shame but there are parallel to sata convertors available I think or maybe its only the other way round.

They would have none I think but this is for a cd drive to be put on

I have two 7900 GT's from my shuttle SN26P. I'll need the bridge chip if it does work. If not I'll just use one of the cards and then change when it's really necessary.

Can somone confirm that this is the BadAxe motherboard everyone is going on about?
