Dang doesnt look good for Bad axe mobos, but then again its just early stuff obviously out of a few thousand boards your gonna get some duff boards... and it sounds like most of them who overclocked/volt modded there boards had it go up in smoke... only a few confirmed no overclocking and it still died.

Regardless will see in the next few weeks...

Yeah these badaxe mobos, look well dodgy if pushed by ocing. I should be ok though as I wont be overclocking to heavily, so it looks like the asus for me, although the MSI looks good too.

Caaah dilemas eh?

Don't worry mate, at Conroe's release there'll be much more boards out and much more competition. That would ultimately mean lower priced motherboards. :) Right now only few boards exist, that support Conroe. That's why the prices are quite high...

I hope Intel will honor the 3 year warrantie if your board dies while running a conroe cpu as conroe is still not on Bad Axe's officially supported cpu list on intels website and they do say,

"Use of unsupported processors may result in improper operation, damage to the desktop board or processor, or reduced product life. Except as provided in Intel's Terms and conditions of Sale for such products, INTEL ASSUMES NO LIABILITY WHATSOEVER, AND INTEL DISCLAIMS ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY, RELATING TO SALE AND/OR USE OF THE INTEL PRODUCTS INCLUDING LIABILITY OR WARRANTIES RELATING TO FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, MERCHANTABILITY, OR INFRINGEMENT OF ANY PATENT COPYRIGHT OR OTHER INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHT."

I wonder why they are taking so long to update the supported cpu list, even tho I've brought a Bad Axe m/b I won't really be satisfied until they confirm it's officially supported.

I must say tho that I do believe that out of the failed Bad Axe m/b's on the extreme systems forum I think at least 90% of them where modded boards and had been o/c'd to extreme levels.

Thats with people hard modding them and runnning 2.6-2.8v through the Ram!

Deviuos is already at 3.8ghz with his conroe with his badaxe lol :D

superb mobo's

lol seems that because some people were having some problems with over moding their board that this is being dismissed..
strange how people forget the benchies that were done by properly by pros
