Hopefully it's not true. Paper only launch in June would suck. PR disaster for Intel, especially as 4790K was supposed to be something for the enthusiasts to show Intel were still aware of the market lol.

I hope it's not true. I will not wait. Why would intel do this now right before launch? Are you going to wait Boom or use 4770k or wait until September?

If I have to wait until september I'll not get Devil's Canyon and wait that extra month or so for broadwell instead.

The data is, however, nothing is set in stone, and it still remains to be seen when processors actually find out in Swedish stores. Intel will keep an overclocking event at Computex just around Devil's Canyon, and we should be able to convey more information once we are on location in Taipei

Makes no difference to me mate because I'm giving the 4770K to my boys anyway. I'll use the 4770K up until 4790K gets released.

I am hoping this is just rumor, paper launch would suck. Better no launch at all until it's ready to go over a paper launch imho.

You could just use a cheap Haswell dual core in the meantime? Sell it after you're done with it..

lol, if i was someone who was waiting on theese, id still hold out. Certainly wouldn't recommend a 4770k now as the latest batches seem to be poor clockers, that and the ihs/paste bodge job on them.

The thing that upset me is we all thought Devil's Canyon was being released. I have all my pc build ready to go once released and now told it might not is like a punch in the face by Intel:(

If I have to wait I'll wait, I just wont be happy about it.
