4.7Ghz maximum overclock, on air I assume. Not great, but not terrible either. At least the temperatures were a little better than a 4770K.
I'll hold onto my I7 920 bought in 2008 for a while longer I think. Will upgrade to Haswell -E, or Skylake at this point.
Looking very "meh" indeed.
Looking very "meh" indeed.
Yeah maybe, but it's still 100 times better then 4770k will ever be.
More like 0.2% better than a 4770K. Thats two reviews that only managed to get upto 4.7Ghz now.
So all this talk about Intel saying 5.0 ghz on air was all bull???
Let's wait for the retail version reviews
Where are those reviews? Doesn't the chip get released in a week or so?
That's my point, the only reviews so far are ES ones
So all this talk about Intel saying 5.0 ghz on air was all bull???
Why is this? Something isn't right here?
No, it's not, this is a very unusual case.
We've had no reviews bar a Hexus and PCPer, that's absolutely unheard of, ES, or Retail.
It's like there's been an NDA mix up.

Historically, review units have been inferior to the Engineering Samples, so I wouldn't hold your breath for some miraculous new overclocking results.
