Intel Haswell Refresh Processors Codenamed Devil’s Canyon – Launching in Mid 2014 With Unlocked Desi

I think rather than messing around i'm going to wait and go x99

Running my 4770k at 4.3 or 4.4GHz compared to 4.5 isn't going to be the end of the world

I'll simply wait for x99 six core chips and DDR4 and then i'll upgrade.

Same here, a much more worthwhile upgrade :)

My previous i5 760 setup lasted me 3 years, I've only had my i7 4770K 6 months and even when running at stock is more performance than I really need.

I think I am gonna skip this generation I have X99 ;)!!

The onboard VRM is different in DC but is compatible with Z87 and Z97.

Z97 however will be the sole platform for Brioadwell.

Obviously that was meant as a cruel tease :p, that your unlikely to answer any follow up questions to... But..

Could you just answer this... In your opinion is X99 worth an upgrade / the extra cost from 4770K / Z97?

Like i posted somewhere X99 is only option of upgrade for me. So far had Ivy that would not do 4.6 and after watching whats up with haswell i have not even bothered as i got no luck with chip lottery (my 290x wont do 1200mhz on water no matter what)
So x99 with intels OC protection pan and just run it on its max like i do with my 2500k. If it dies then it dies simple. And cant do that with 4770 or this DC chips due to pice of **** tim...
