Temps don't really matter as long your not running it at 90degC. Pretty sure DC actually has a slightly higher power consumption than Haswell.

Agreed, temps are so much better than the current chips. If mine matches the clockspeed of my current 4770k ill be happy enough as a temp drop is what im after.

At 4.5 here but temps can get very high, id like to push this chip higher but its already quite volt hungry and anymore would just increase the temps way too far.Agreed.
If someone is only interested in running at 4.5, and temps are in 80s, then there no point in moving on. Just live with the temps.
If temps are limiting an oc, then that is another matter.
lol temps are better so it's worth it? nope.
Unless CPU-Z need updated they have same Instructions.
What was TTL saying about the Voltage Controller was supposed to be going back on the Mobo (reason DC was not to work in Z87), as that would be back to the old days before it was moved off the Mobo onto the CPU along with Memory Controller etc.
Another interesting change is that both the Core i7-4790K and the Core i5-4690K enable support for both Intel's VT-d virtualization IO technology and Intel's TSX-NI transactional memory instructions. This makes them the first enthusiast-grade unlocked processors from Intel to support them!
