Devil's Canyon are unlocked chips, ""improved thermal interface and CPU packaging materials that are expected to enable significant enhancements to performance and overclocking capabilities"

Haswell Refresh is just a very small clock increase on locked chips. (No overclocking).

HW Refresh and Z97 motherboards in May, DC in June.

So the ranger is a new budget Rog board, coming in at probably cheaper than the hero, with the more expensive formula/extreme coming out later. Seems that there's gonna be quite a range of boards from Asus.
